Nigeria–US Establish Defense Working Groups, to ‘Counter Terror’

The integration of the US military into the Nigerian Armed forces under the guise of fighting the terror menace took another step forward on May 6, with the formal establishment of an untold number of (cooperative) Defense Institutional Technical Working Groups. Since the Dec. 25, 2025 “Christmas present” bombing in Nigeria’s northwestern Sokoto State, the US has stationed “about 200” military personnel in Nigeria, along with an untold number of MQ-9 Reaper surveillance drones. This is part of an overall Trump administration drive to move the U.S. military into every corner of the planet to impose its policies.
