Mere days after U.S. President Donald Trump departed from his state visit to Beijing, Russian President Vladimir Putin will be arriving for his own state visit. Russia’s Foreign Ministry confirmed the news: “At the invitation of President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, President Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to China on May 19-20. They will discuss ways to further deepen the comprehensive Russia-China partnership.”
The Kremlin also reported that the two leaders planned to “exchange views on key international and regional issues” and sign a joint declaration at the conclusion of their talks.
