A mere days after President Donald Trump departed from his state visit to Beijing, President Putin will be arriving for his own state visit. Russia’s Foreign Ministry confirmed the news: “At the invitation of President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, President Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to China on May 19-20. They will discuss ways to further deepen the comprehensive Russia-China partnership.”

The Kremlin also reported that the two leaders planned to “exchange views on key international and regional issues” and sign a joint declaration at the conclusion of their talks.
