Trump in La-la Land While Iran Controls Strait of Hormuz

In U.S. President Donald Trump’s world, Iran is desperate to make a deal. “Iran is very much intent, they want very much to make a deal,” Trump told a cabinet meeting yesterday, reported the Daily Mail. “So far, they haven’t gotten there. We’re not satisfied with it, but then we will be. We will be either that, or we’ll have to just finish the job.”

“But the Navy is gone, as I’ve said 1,000 times,” Trump stated. “The Navy is gone, their Air Force is gone, everything’s gone, and they’re negotiating on fumes. But we’ll see what happens. Maybe we have to go back and finish it. Maybe we don’t right now.”

Trump then issued a threat by way of a joke aimed at self-styled “Secretary of War” Pete Hegseth. Trump quipped: “Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. Central casting. He loves war.” Hegseth reportedly responded to the ominous joke by shrugging his shoulders with a nervous smile, as laughter rippled through the Cabinet room.
