Austrian Chancellor Stocker Calls for Dialogue with Putin

Most, but not all, European political leaders are stark raving mad when it comes to the subject of Russia. Christian Stocker, however, is an exception, telling the Financial Times that he “supports very much” the idea of initiating a dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “I agree with that totally,” Stocker stated. “Wars end not with weapons, but with successful diplomacy. And for diplomacy to be successful, you need conversations, you need negotiations, and those channels need to be opened first.”
