Many Italian cities are suffering blackouts (Turin, Milan, Brescia, Venice, Florence, Rome, Naples to name a few). Turin has been hit by blackouts for eight days in a row. Typically, one of several districts is blacked out—the entire city is not hit all at once, The most common cause is melting of underground cable through overheating, caused by air conditioner-driven demand peak of electricity.

The media insist that temperatures are higher than June 2025, which were higher than 2024, which were higher than... (Temperatures in Italy are equal to those in the past, and sometimes lower than in Germany).
