Hezbollah Leader Says Israel Must Withdraw from Lebanon Unconditionally

In a speech broadcast live on Friday, Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem declared that Israel must leave Lebanon unconditionally, reported Al Mayadeen. Israel has no option but to fully withdraw from every inch of Lebanese territory, declaring that “Israel must leave humiliated and defeated, and that is what will happen.” He recalled that the recent war was aimed at “erasing the existence of Hezbollah, its social base, its people, and the Lebanese citizens affiliated with it,” adding that Israel remains in Lebanon as part of a broader bid to occupy the country within the pursuit of “Greater Israel.”

Addressing Lebanese authorities directly, Qassem warned that they cannot antagonize more than half of the Lebanese people while expecting to proceed normally, calling on them to stop implementing the dictates of foreign tutelage and the interests of the United States and Israel.
