The Joint Maritime Information Center, a multinational naval operation that includes the U.S. Navy, issued an advisory yesterday warning that the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports remains in effect until the execution of a U.S.-Iran ceasefire set to begin on June 19. “Vessels subject to blockade enforcement should continue compliance with direction from blockading forces,” it said.
Iranian sources, however, are reporting that the U.S. stopped enforcing the blockade this morning. Tasnim reports that three oil tankers and two ships carrying essential Iranian goods passed through the naval blockade early Tuesday.
