Many in the West, including both rabid anti-Russian warmongers and merely wishful thinkers, have been asking if and when Russia will deliver on its threats to step up attacks on Kiev in retaliation for the cold-blooded murder of 21 young students in the Starobelsk attack, as had been announced by President Vladimir Putin.
Those attacks are already under way. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted during a news briefing reported by TASS “As the Kiev regime deliberately carries out such inhumane terrorist attacks against civilians and children that defy humanity, we are now facing a completely different paradigm… You can see that we are carrying out systematic strikes against military infrastructure in Kiev and other cities, as the Russian Foreign Ministry said in its recent statement.”
The Russian Defense Ministry provided the details in a 2nd statement on the June 1-2 retaliatory strikes. It shows, among other things, the increasing targeting of the city of Kiev itself. “As a result of the high-precision weapon attack at Kiev, 10 enterprises producing military products, including attack UAVs, were hit in Kiev, among them: Abris PT, the Spektr Special Design Bureau, Zavod Mayak joint stock company, and the state company Ukrspecexport. In addition, three AFU territorial recruitment centers were hit,” it said.
Other targets included:
the Omelchenko Machine-Building Plant and Motor Sich Aircraft Engine Manufacturer in Zaporozhye;
the Fire Point Defense Technology Company, which produced components for long-range attack UAVs and missile weapons, as well as a logistics center in the Dnepropetrovsk region; and, among others,
* defense industry enterprises in the Kharkov region, including the Kharkiv State Aircraft Manufacturing Company and two Ukrainian fuel and power facilities used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
