Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has announced a 60-day waiver of sanctions. Bessent said the waiver authorizes “the production, delivery, and sale of Iranian oil.”
Bessent said the move by the U.S. came in the context of Iran’s agreement to open the Strait of Hormuz and to allow nuclear inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency into Iran.
