IRGC Advises British Monarchy ' Not to Further Burden Its Record'

In a July 23 statement, the IRGC zeroed in on the British Monarchy for its support of the U.S. war against Iran. “We warn the British monarchy, which has been one of the principal causes of the suffering of the peoples of our region and whose record includes the partition of Islamic countries, widespread massacres, the imposition of authoritarian governments, and above all the organization and direction of the occupation of Palestine and the creation of the catastrophe of Israel, and which has played a major role in the recent aggression by America and the Zionist regime against Iran, not to further burden its record,” it said.

The British government responded with a blasé statement declaring that its armed forces were ready to protect the country from any attack. A government spokesperson is quoted in Reuters saying, “Our Armed Forces are ready to keep the United Kingdom safe from any kind of attacks, whether it’s on our soil or from abroad. The UK stands ready 24/7 to defend itself. This includes through operating a layered approach to air and missile defence, provided by Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force assets equipped with a range of advanced capabilities, working closely with our NATO allies.”
