Former metalworkers union Giorgio Cremaschi, currently member of the “Power to the People” party, wrote an article for the daily Il Fatto Quotidiano, accusing Italian mainstream media of not giving adequate coverage to the Hamburg indictment in the Nord Stream case, where the Ukrainian suspect is accused of having acted on behalf of the Ukrainian authorities. “This indictment is a crucial legal step,” Cremaschi wrote in Il Fatto Quotidiano, “but on the political front, we can already go further, because it is clear that the Ukrainian government could only have acted with the complicity of NATO and its intelligence services. It is, in fact, inconceivable that the sabotage team from Kyiv could have entered the Baltic Sea, carried out its operation there, and escaped afterward without the intelligence agencies of Western countries—and the United States in particular—being aware of and consenting to it. The reality is that NATO and the United States authorized and facilitated a war crime against a member state of the alliance, Germany.”
