On Wednesday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry gathered together 25 European diplomats, ambassadors and charge d’affaires, where Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi warned them that providing military bases or territory to the United States would place European countries “in the ranks of the aggressors.”
Gharibabadi said on X that during the meeting, he “elaborated on the Islamic Republic of Iran’s positions regarding current issues and America’s criminal actions, and I reminded them that in the 40-day war, we imposed a severe defeat on the aggressors. In this new round of military aggression as well, we will resolutely defend our homeland and national interests.”
“These wars have created no strategic gains for America and only endanger regional and global peace and security,” he continued. “I also said that Europe is expected to safeguard the United Nations Charter and international law and to condemn aggression.”
