In a July 14 interview with Fox News, a clearly frustrated President Donald Trump leveled some choice threats against Iran, some of them bordering on his earlier, April 7 warning that “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” and that he would be “blasting Iran into oblivion” and “back to the Stone Ages!!!"—threats which in themselves could constitute a war crime, according to legal experts.
“We’re going to hit them very hard tonight,” Trump said in an exclusive July 14 interview with Fox News chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst. “We’re going to hit them hard tomorrow night. We’re gonna hit them really hard the night after…. Next week it gets really bad for them, because next week comes the power plants,” the president warned. “Next week comes the bridges. We’re gonna knock out all their power plants. We’re going to knock out all their bridges unless they get to the table and negotiate.”
Trump continued: “You better make a deal. You’re not going to have anybody left. We’re being very careful with the civilian population, as you know, but I said, ‘You better make a deal, you’re going to not have anything left.’”
