Donald Trump fears assassination. He said yesterday that he has “left instructions” for the United States to respond with overwhelming military force if Iran were to succeed in assassinating him. “I’ve been on their list for a long time. That’s what we’re dealing with,” Trump told The New York Post on Friday. Never mind that Trump has been killing Iranians since at least 2020.
“The only thing is, I’ve left instructions—if anything happens, to just literally bomb them at levels that they’ve never seen before,” he added.
A report carried in The Wall Street Journal on July 9 points to the possible trigger of the recent actions by Trump, claiming that Israel shared intelligence with the US about a new Iranian plot to assassinate Trump, which, according to WSJ, “would mark an escalation in the war between Washington and Iran.”
When asked about the report, Trump dismissed that there was a new plan, telling The Post: “No, no. Israel came up with nothing.” The president added that Iran has wanted him dead for years. “I’ve been number one [on Iran’s kill list] for a long time, and it’s the way life is, you know.”
In an overnight posting on Truth Social, Trump doubled down on his threat. “1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat, pronounced in many corners of the Globe, to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME!” he wrote. “Orders have already been given, and the U.S. Military is ready, willing, and able, for a one year period of time, subject to extension, to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran—PRAISE BE TO ALLAH!”
The question Trump—and everyone else—should be asking, is what role the British, through their Israeli puppets, may be playing in provoking yet another assassination plot against an American president.
