Recent polling suggests that Americans strongly support arresting the Israeli Prime Minister as a war criminal, and that they also support negotiations with Iran. A new Economist/YouGov poll, taken among 1,500 people from July 25–27, found strong support for arresting Netanyahu (49% to 27%), for believing him guilty of war crimes and for believing Israel has committed genocide against Palestinian civilians (both around 47% to 24%). The people who were unsure (24 to 29%) made up the balance of the poll
An AP/NORC poll, taken from July 23–27, found that about 50% wanted negotiations with Iran, while only about 20% wanted continued military action, with about 30% unsure. Of the 50% group for negotiations, most of them, around 60%, wanted a pause in military action to negotiate a renewed ceasefire and the other 40% simply wanted a complete stop to military action.
