Last year, under the pretense of stopping online antisemitism, an influence campaign directed and funded out of Israel was created to manipulate U.S. foreign policy—according to Time magazine on July 8. Their report was based, in part, upon U.S. Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) filings. Brad Parscale—a former Trump campaign manager—and his Clock Tower X company were hired to run the operation. An Israeli Foreign Ministry official, according to Time, admitted that the operation was actually
to prevent “young conservatives from turning against Israel.”
Yesterday, U.S. Vice-President Vance accused the operation of undermining Trump’s Memorandum of Understanding with Iran. Appearing on Joe Rogan’s podcast, he asserted, according to the Times of Israel account:
“There was this Time article that came out yesterday [Tuesday]… It lists a bunch of people who have been paid by a former Trump campaign person who was himself paid by certain elements within the Israeli government, and those people are attacking me viciously for trying to accomplish the negotiation objective that the president set for the country.” It was a “very discreet, extremely well-funded campaign to try to derail the negotiations... It’s social media posts, it’s leaking to reporters—they’re attacking me obsessively, saying that we should not be negotiating with Iran. We should just keep the military campaign going indefinitely.”
