This was the comment that Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova posted on her Telegram channel regarding media coverage of Putin’s recent trip to the front, TASS reported. Taking note of “reports by British politician and journalist Jim Ferguson, who described the Russian leader’s appearance in military uniform at the meeting as an intentional signal,” Zakharova stated: “I think he is right. There have been more than enough signals of an intention to resolve issues peacefully. All of them were ignored by the Western relay system, which has broken down. The current signal is clear: we will finish off the terrorist neo-Nazi threat to the end and across all fronts. We are not abandoning peace, but the methodology of persuasion has changed.”
