Rather than Ask If Nuclear War Is Imminent, Mobilize Mankind in a New Direction

Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has caused a firestorm by posting on X that she is not speculating when she says that President Trump is contemplating nuclear strikes on Iran.
In a post which has now over five million views, MTG said, “They are discussing using nuclear weapons on Iran in strategy meetings. Yes you read that correctly. It’s real. I’m not speculating, I know. And it’s pure evil.”
White House spokesman Davis Ingle was quick to respond, telling USA Today: “Marjorie ‘Quitter’ Greene has no idea what she is talking about…She is completely out of the loop and should quit spreading Fake News.”
Honesty has not been a strong trait of the Trump administration’s foreign policy, but rather than speculate, given the massive destructive potential of nuclear weapons, every person should mobilize to ensure that a nuclear weapon is not used. Not in Iran and not anywhere else.
Retired German General Harald Kujat, who had been Chairman of the NATO Military Committee two decades ago, had said that the great fear of the Soviet Union, now the Russian Federation, was a Cuban Missile Crisis in reverse. Worse than that, the Russian leadership must know that even before the end of WWII, Britain’s alcoholic Prime Minister Winston Churchill was already contemplating a nuclear first strike against the then Soviet Union.
If one looks at the arc of history from the dropping of the nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which had more to do with threatening Russia than defeating Japan (which had already been defeated), the world has been moving in the direction of nuclear war with a few brief exceptional periods.
The great American statesman and former presidential candidate Lyndon LaRouche warned in 2011, when Muammar Gaddafi was brutally murdered in the streets, that this was preparatory to a war with Russia.
That march toward nuclear war with Russia has been pushed by the Anglo-Zionist Epstein-class billionaires behind successive American presidencies from Barack Obama to Donald Trump’s second term.
The stakes are even higher today because their multi-quadrillion-dollar bubble of speculative obligations is nearing the end of its sustainability. People who think nothing of raping and shooting children at short range will not shy away from using a nuclear weapon. As far as they are concerned, they have two highly compatible objectives:
1. Reduce the world’s population
2. Maintain their monetarist financial dictatorship
The problem they have is that human beings are not animals. As the great poet of freedom, Friedrich Schiller said in his play “Wilhelm Tell,” “There is a limit to a tyrant’s power.” Billions of people in the nations of the BRICS-plus, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Organization of African Unity, to name a few, reject the old colonial order. They do not believe that might makes right.
China has lifted hundreds of millions of people out of poverty, and India celebrated 79 years of independence from the British Empire on August 15th.
The way to avoid a thermonuclear Armageddon is for the nations of the West, in particular the United States, to recognize that they have a shared future with the entirety of mankind.
There will soon be a second letter to Pope Leo, signed by prominent peace activists, political leaders, military analysts and others, asking him to convene an emergency international peace conference. It is indeed fortuitous that the leader of the Catholic Church comes from the United States, and that he is a profound thinker familiar with the writings of Nicholas of Cusa.
Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche has convened an International Peace Coalition that has become an important meeting place for the adults in the room, as South Africa’s former Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor has said. On September 4th, the IPC will also host an EIR Roundtable: An Alternative to War and Looting in the Americas.
