100,000 People Still without Electricity in Indiana and More Damage Likely Ahead

Over the last week, between 5 and 10 inches of rain fell in parts of nine states, among them Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. Indiana was the hardest hit so far, reporting seven dead.

In Carmel, Indiana, a city of over 100,000 people, officials warn that there is an 85% likelihood that the largest sewer main will break and flood the river in a “violent event.”
