Speaking on the podcast of Rom Braslavski on Sunday and objecting to Netanyahu’s temporary accession to Trump on killing fewer Gazans per day, the overseer of Israel’s prisons, Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir called for assassinating 30-40 Gazans every night: “It’s no secret, I disagree with the prime minister. I think targeted assassinations should be carried out in Gaza, taking down 30 to 40 every night. Not just those who pose an immediate threat—there are people there who are not worthy of life. They shouldn’t live. They’re not even people.”
The Nazi phrase “Lebensunwertes Leben” ("life not worthy of life") was a Nazi designation for the segments of the population which, according to the Nazi regime, had no right to live and were assigned to the “involuntary euthanasia” program, Aktion T4. It expanded to the concentration camps, but also to the Warsaw Ghetto – the model for what Israel is today carrying out against Palestinian Gaza.
