Yesterday, Israel’s military raided the West Bank refugee camp, Qalandiyah, north of Jerusalem. It seized homes and converted them into military positions. On-site interrogation centers were set up and Palestinians were detained.
The IDF’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) issued an Arabic-language statement yesterday, announcing that the operation is targeting “terrorist infrastructure and the possession and trafficking of weapons, which pose a threat to the security of the entire region.” It added that the movement restrictions and disruptions to daily life resulting from the operation “are a direct consequence of terrorist activity.”
