Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will travel to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on Aug. 31 to participate in this year’s annual Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit. According to Habibollah Abbasi, head of the presidential Public Relations, Pezeshkian will deliver a speech at the summit and will engage in bilateral meetings with leaders and senior officials, reported IRNA.
Pezeshkian will meet with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping during the visit.
President Xi, for his part, arrived in Bishkek Aug. 30 ahead of the start of the summit, and will stay in Kyrgyzstan for a full week as part of a state visit to the country.
