The August 3 report published by Egypt’s semi-official Al-Ahram daily on Israeli’s offensive to militarily absorb the West Bank into “Greater Israel” is in itself a devastating indictment of the continued failure of the international community to stop Israel’s expanding genocide and ethnic cleansing against Palestine and Palestinians.
Moayad Shaaban, the head of the Palestinian Commission Against the Wall and Settlements, is cited: 2,256 attacks took place in July alone against Palestinians, their land and property in the West Bank. Some two-thirds of those attacks—1,458 of them—were carried out by the Israeli Defense Forces; settlers were responsible for 798 attacks. Seven Palestinians were killed by settlers in July.
