Russian Intelligence Warns vs. Planned False Flag Operation in Ibero-America

The West is preparing “to stage yet another anti-Russian charade,” this time in Ibero-America, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported on August 17. “According to information received by the SVR, the intelligence agency of a certain Western country, in coordination with its Ukrainian lackeys,” the stage is now being set “to accuse Russia of illegally supplying weapons to drug cartels and other organized crime groups in Venezuela, Colombia, and Mexico,” the SVR Press Bureau reported.

“To this end, Russian-made weapons—captured by the enemy during the Special Military Operation—are already being smuggled into these countries. At the same time, fake audio and video materials are being prepared to `confirm’ the `facts’ of the Russians transferring weapons to Latin Americans through intermediaries. For added credibility, this `body of evidence’ is intended to be backed up by forged documents indicating the alleged involvement of representatives of the Russian Armed Forces in the ‘scheme,’” it added.

The SVR did not name which Western country was involved.

The aim of any such operation is obvious: by thus claiming Russia is tied to the drug cartels, any government in the region maintaining normal relations of any kind with Russia could be painted as protecting the drug cartels, and thus set up to be a target of U.S. military action. “Fighting narcoterrorism,” after all, is the pretext used by the Trump administration to militarize and occupy the region, kill those it calls “traffickers,” and capture presidents who stand in its way.
