President Trump indicated during a Cabinet meeting Friday he’s not certain he’ll be able to make a deal with Iran due to their (alleged) dishonesty, reported CBS News. For Trump to accuse the Iranian leadership of dishonesty is rich, given how much he has lied, bombed Iran during negotiations, violated an agreement that he signed, and refused to take responsibility for the deadly bombing of a girls school, among other crimes. The Iranians certainly have no reason to trust Trump.
“I’m losing faith in them, because they do lie and they do misrepresent,” Trump claimed in a complaint about being made to taste his own medicine. “The other day, the five missiles [Iran] shot, we knocked them down, we were in the midst of a negotiation. I’m waiting for Steve [Witkoff] to call me, ‘How was the negotiation going?’ and instead I got a call from Pete [Hegseth] that they just shot five missiles at one of our bases in Jordan.”
