The weekly Die Zeit reported that German investigators have considered the hypothesis that the failed drone attack at the Leipzig airport might have been a Ukrainian false flag operation. However, according to Die Zeit, it has been rejected in favor of the hypothesis that Moscow was behind it.
“It’s not just investigators from the Federal Criminal Police Office who are now putting forward theories—experts at the Federal Ministry of the Interior are doing so as well. After all, theories are needed to identify new avenues for the investigation—and to consider a political response,” Die Zeit wrote.
