The Linke party, winner of the September 20 election in Berlin, may be prevented from forming a government with the SPD and the Greens, because the latter insist that Die Linke must throw radical pro-Palestinians out and cut its links to clans of organized crime of which the SPD and Greens accuse it. Charging Linke with anti-semitism, the Green party, joined by SPD and CDU, apparently hopes for a government of their own with 82 seats—against AfD and Die Linke with 76 seats. It would be a government of the election losers: CDU down 9.5%, SPD down 6.3%, Greens down 4.2%. And the losers are the pro-war parties.
