Speaking to reporters, Russian Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin, US special envoy Steve Witkoff and US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner reflected an “atmosphere of trust.”
“The very fact that the meeting is taking place means that an atmosphere of trust does exist, at least through this channel of communication, and is strengthening,” Peskov said. “Usually, extended exchanges of such welcoming remarks appear when there are messages that the head of state considers necessary to send.”
Speaking to Vesti correspondent Pavel Zarubin, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that elements of Anchorage were still on the agenda. “Certain understandings were indeed reached in Anchorage. It’s difficult to say right now how applicable they are, from both the Ukrainian and American perspectives. But at a minimum, some elements of these understandings will always be on the agenda,” he said.
