Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi has announced that the meeting in Oman on Strait of Hormuz issues that was planned for Monday has been postponed. “In the interests of consensus the regional meeting set for today in Salalah has been postponed,” he wrote on X on Monday. “We remain committed to fostering dialogue that supports stability and lasting cooperation in our region”

Iran’s Mehr News reported that Mohammad Ali Bek, director-general for the Persian Gulf region department at Iran’s foreign ministry, said the meeting of foreign ministers of Persian Gulf coastal states was moved to another date at the request of some regional countries and by joint decision of Oman and Iran. He said Iran, in close consultation with Oman, will make the necessary arrangements for a suitable time to hold the meeting.
