On Sept. 16 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he is actively seeking the introduction of a new law that would “revoke the citizenship of anyone who slanders IDF [Israeli Defense Forces] soldiers.” Speaking of the NAZA film in a video posted on X, Netanyahu said, “We will hit them in their pockets and also in their citizenship, because their place is not among us.” Netanyahu also called for a second new law that would raise “the defamation damages they can be sued for twenty fold.”

NAZA is a new film that exposes the war crimes and systematic targeting of civilians in Gaza. The film’s title comes from the Israeli intelligence acronym which is used to describe human collateral damage.
