Contrary to the proclamations of Western talking heads, Russia is not as “isolated” as they would have you believe. In remarks to the news agency Vesti, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held around 50 meetings during his three-day stay in New York during the UN General Assembly.
Of those, 42 were rounds of “full-fledged talks,” she noted, reported TASS. “Forty-two ministers, prime ministers, and heads of state came to the Russian room,” she said. “And we always feel that this is not enough, so there was also a press conference lasting more than an hour for foreign correspondents, as well as Russian journalists and those accredited to the UN, where every single question was answered,” she added.
