Argentine President Javier Milei is in Madrid, directly interfering in the election campaign on behalf of the extreme right-wing parties, publicly insulting President Pedro Sánchez as “a despicable dictator,” a “corrupt thief,” and “leftist,” (‘zurdo’ in Spanish). The election will be held on Nov. 19. Milei had planned to appear with leaders of the right-wing Vox and PP parties, but even they have figured out that meeting with someone as deranged as Milei, who is attacking Sánchez with crude insults and obscenities, isn’t likely to advance their cause. Vox Party president Santiago Abascal, a big Trump fan, conveniently attended an out-of-town meeting to avoid having his picture taken with Milei, emphasizing that his priority now as a candidate for Congress is “to meet with the Spanish people,” according to La Politica Online.
King Felipe VI also refused to meet with Milei, arguing that protocol required that the Argentine President also meet with the head of state, Sánchez, which Milei refuses to do, Pagina 12 reported. Milei insulted Sánchez in his speech at the New Economy Forum, where he called on the audience to “kick the socialists out of the government.” Everyone should vote for Vox and PP, he insisted.
