Oct. 13, 2026 (EIRNS—In an explosive Oct. 11 interview with the “Window on the World” program on Mexico’s public Channel 14 TV station, Bolivian lawyer Nadia Beller, the ex-girlfriend of Argentine MAGA operative Fernando Cerimedo, revealed details of the latter’s plans to intervene in Mexico’s elections with current President Claudia Sheinbaum as a target. Cerimedo, most recently a “political consultant” to Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz before his Aug. 18 arrest and jailing on suspicion of having orchestrated the Aug. 17 assassination attempt against Beller, has worked in the same consultant role in several Ibero-American countries—Argentina, Brazil, Honduras, Chile— to ensure the electoral outcome sought by Washington. Cerimedo has frequently posted photos of his Trump associates–both with Trump offspring and other current and former Trump media managers.
Notably, at the end of her October 12 daily “Mañanera” press conference, President Sheibaum played an excerpt from the Beller interview describing Cerimedo’s plans to interfere in Mexico’s elections, although whether he meant 2027 or 2030 elections wasn’t specified. He felt “great animosity” toward Sheinbaum, Beller said and wanted to “get her out of the Presidency.” She described the modus operandi that Cerimodo has used in several countries to which he was deployed, including Bolivia, focused on “distorting public debate, through cognitive fraud, dirty war, buy influencers, using bot farms, coordinating attacks [and] creating trending topics” through social media. After his arrest in Bolivia, investigators searching his homes found a huge amount of bot farms and sophisticated digital equipment used to control media messaging.
After showing the Beller clip, Sheinbaum commented “see, it isn’t just me saying this,” and recommended that the media and others present in the room listen to the entire interview. Sheinbaum isn’t unfamiliar with Cerimedo or the type of operations Beller described, having had previous experience with Cerimedo’s business partner, Spaniard Javier Negre, a fixture in Trump circles and at the White House whose specialty is precisely media manipulation to shape public opinion. The two co-founded the right-wing scandal sheet La Derecha Diario but negre took full ownership after Cerimedo was arrested and had to get rid of it fast.
On August 5 of this year, as reported by Argentina’s La Politica Online, President Sheinbaum reported during her morning press conference that “we have denounced here that La Derecha Diario is a media outlet that promotes the spread of fake news and shapes public opinion through financial means.” Now, we discover, she said, that one of its founders, “is accused of femicide.” A month later, she suggested that the Mexican Congress would do well to investigate Negre’s and Cerimedo’s activities in the country. In December of last year, she recalled, Negre and Cerimedo posed for a joint photo and In a posting to X at the time, they boasted of the paper’s role in ensuring great right-wing “victories” in Argentina, Bolivia, Honduras and Chile and suggested Sheinbaum keep the photo close to her for her next morning Mananera.
