Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, the Pope’s special envoy for settling the Ukraine conflict, concluded a working visit to Moscow from September 28 to 30, meeting with Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov, Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova, and Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its Telegram channel September 30.
Cooperation on humanitarian issues related to the Ukraine war was discussed between the Vatican and Russia like a search for missing persons, exchanges of prisoners of war and civilians, reunification of families, and the so-called children’s dossier.
