Rosatom’s small floating nuclear power plants could help Indonesia supply its industrial centers with electricity, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, who is on a working visit to Jakarta today, said in an interview with Interfax. According to Manturov, Rosatom is offering Indonesian partners a two-stage approach that will speed things up:
1. Build the SMR as fast as possible, and then tow it to the customer;
2. Build large reactors on land.
