The Vatican confirmed today that Pope Leo was recovering well from his Oct. 13 surgery and that he will be making his planned trip to Uruguay, Argentina, and Peru Nov. 6–17. “I am looking forward to returning to the continent where I’ve experienced so many moments of my life,” Leo said in a statement.
The busy schedule for the visit includes meetings with the presidents of all three nations, along with various meetings and prayers with religious and civil society leaders, including two prayer vigils with youth, one in Argentina and one in Peru.
