Feb. 6—A picture of the ominous implications of U.S. President Donald Trump’s policy vis-à-vis Gaza is beginning to emerge following the flurry of statements over the past two days. “The Gaza Strip would be turned over to the United States by Israel at the conclusion of fighting,” Trump said today in a post on Truth Social, and the Palestinians “would have already been resettled in far safer and more beautiful communities.” Gaza “would become one of the greatest and most spectacular developments of its kind on Earth,” he claimed.
