British police arrested on Feb. 23 the former U.K. ambassador to the U.S., Lord Peter Mandelson. Video and photos of his being escorted by detectives from his Camden home to an unmarked vehicle are being widely circulated. His arrest follows the arrest last week of ex-Prince Andrew—now, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
A police spokesperson, without naming Andrew, corroborated the story, stating: “Officers have arrested a 72-year-old man on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He was arrested at an address in Camden on Monday, Feb. 23 and has been taken to a London police station for interview.” Misconduct in public office carries a maximum sentence of life in prison. The misconduct for Mandelson is thought to involve, at minimum, trading in insider information amongst the “Epstein Class.”
