Fearing that its role in the coup against President Donald Trump is being laid bare for all to see, a rattled “intelligence community” is in a panic mode, insisting 1) that the revelations about the Biden family’s criminal enterprise, discovered in Hunter Biden’s laptop is all a Russian plot, and 2) that Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe is out of his depth and really doesn’t know what he’s talking about when he denies a Russian role.
Defense One, the outfit owned by The Atlantic, which was exposed as one of the initiators of the push for a military coup to remove Trump, has put out a story to discredit Ratcliffe for his statement on Fox News that the “intelligence community doesn’t believe” that the New York Post story on Hunter Biden’s laptop is “Russian disinformation.” A number of former CIA and intelligence officials from the Obama era are trotted out to charge that Ratcliffe erred in issuing such a statement, before the FBI’s full investigation has been completed—an investigation they said could take months or more—implying that Ratcliffe is really “out of the loop” when it comes to understanding how “real” intelligence works, and how the Russians are intent on destroying America’s democracy.
Then there are the fifty former intelligence officials, headed by former CIA Director John Brennan and former DNI James Clapper—key players in the coup against the President—who released a “public statement” Oct. 19, arguing that disclosure of the emails “purportedly belonging” to Hunter Biden, “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.” These “intelligence veterans” admit they have “no evidence of Russian involvement,” but no matter; “our experience makes us deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case.” After all, “such an operation would be consistent with Russian objectives, as outlined publicly and recently by the intelligence community, to create political chaos in the United States and to deepen political divisions here, but to also undermine the candidacy of former Vice President Biden and thereby help the candidacy of President Trump.” Pretty clear. https://www.politico.com/f/?id=00000175-4393-d7aa-af77-579f9b330000
