In a press conference in Wilmington, Delaware today, Joe Biden introduced the nominees to his economics team, praising them all as racially diverse, “tested and experienced ... groundbreaking Americans,” raring to go to “build back better.” Groundbreaking? Except for two individuals named to join the Council of Economic Advisers, every other nominee had worked for Barack Obama and were certainly “tested” in devising destructive policies imposed on the American people.
Nominated for Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen served as Federal Reserve chairwoman from 2014-2018; nominee for Deputy Treasury Secretary is Adewale Adeyemo, currently president of the Obama Foundation who held several positions in the Obama Administration. Nominated to the Office of Management and Budget is Neera Tanden, current president of the Center for American Progress, who served as an adviser to the Biden-Harris campaign, to the Obama-Biden and Hillary Clinton presidential campaigns, worked for Hillary Clinton when she was a Senator, and held posts in the Obama Administration as well.
