Cui Tiankai Calls for US-China Cooperation

Speaking at an online dialogue organized jointly by the Carter Center and the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament, Chinese Ambassador Cui Tiankai called for the U.S. and China to cooperate on the pandemic and climate change. He welcomed the U.S. return to the Paris Agreement and the World Health Organization. He also said, “We also urgently need to enhance macroeconomic policy coordination to fend off international economic and financial risks and inject confidence into the world economy. Cui also said that there “was no place for McCarthysim in the 21st century.
