The Denver Post of June 24 was the only media in the entire country to take note of possibly the biggest “drug legalization” story of the year: That is, Colorado’s revolt against George Soros’s legalizers, in the form of a massive curtailment and regulation of the “recreational marijuana industry.”
Passed unanimously in the Senate last week, and with only eight dissensions in the House, the bill was signed into law by Gov. Jared Polis on June 24, instituting the most sweeping piece of regulatory legislation — and dealing the first major setback to the legalizers — since Colorado first legalized recreational use in 2012. As previously described, the bill was specifically designed to reduce access by minors (youth under 21) to the drug. The public revolt had been caused by realization of just what horrors the 2012 bill had unleashed, in the form of suicides and car accidents, to name a few.
The only remaining question then is; How soon do other “post-prohibition” states — like Connecticut, which legalized recreational consumption last week — realize the hell they have unleashed and implement their own regulations?
