The has released its World Drug Report for 2021. From the press release announcing its release, the report reflects the realities of the cresting of the legalization wave, primarily in the perception of drug use among youth, who are losing the capability to resist as drug potency steadily increases. All of these warnings were raised by EIR, in the years’ long fight against Dope, Inc. going back to at least 1978.
“Lower perception of drug use risks has been linked to higher rates of drug use, and the findings of UNODC’s 2021 World Drug Report highlight the need to close the gap between perception and reality to educate young people and safeguard public health,” said UNODC Executive Director Ghada Waly.
