Russia Closing Syrian Air Space to Israel?

Is Russia intending to close Syrian air space to Israeli attacks? This is now the question that is being asked in the aftermath of the statements issued by the Russian military last week that 11 of 12 missiles fired by Israeli jets in two separate attacks in Syria were downed by the Russian air defense systems used by the Syrian military.
