Two hundred and twenty banks and financial institutions, members of the international Carbon Disclosure Project, have sent a letter to 1,600 select major industrial companies urging them to speed up and detail their commitment to carbon emission reduction. Most of these companies have signed on to the emissions target, but so far not revealed details or timetables.
