European mainstream media seem not to be amused by U.S. President Joe Biden’s declaration of the end of regime change wars. A quick review of major media shows British media spitting bile and focusing on other aspects of his speech. Similarly, Italian mainstream media prefer to highlight the “competition with Russia and China” part of Biden’s speech. A remarkable exception is the coverage in the German tabloid Bild and the liberal Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Bild runs the headline: “End of a U.S. Era—Stop Military Interventions ‘To Remake’ Other Countries"; while FAZ writes: “America’s New Era—Joe Biden Declares the Era of Large Military Interventions To Build Foreign Nations Ended.”
