Reportedly, 12,000 of the 14-15,000 Haitian migrants who were at the border in Del Rio, Texas, have been taken to shelter facilities or released in the United States, pending refugee hearings. CNN quoted Haitian Foreign Minister Claude Joseph, who has been in Washington and “sees it as a diplomatic victory that some Haitians have been allowed to remain in the US.... Approximately 12,400 are expected to get a chance to appear in immigration court.”
