Then he went on that, upon such approval, an “economic and development assistance relationship” with the Taliban could be established. Of course, the very possibility of a U.S. administration establishing an “economic and development assistance relationship” with anyone was more than enough to generate multiple attacks and hysteria over the next 24 hours.
