U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan spoke to his Russian counterpart, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, by phone yesterday on U.S.-Russian relations and Afghanistan. “The sides discussed issues related to Russian-U.S. bilateral relations. They underscored the importance of further dialogue between Russia and the U.S. on strategic stability and informational security,” the Russian readout on the call said, reported TASS. “During the discussion of regional issues, the sides touched upon the situation in Afghanistan.”
