Russian Security Chief Patrushev: Each Nation Must Develop Its Own Climate and Energy Plan; ‘Renewables’ Are Insufficient

The Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Nikolai Patrushev, who was formerly Director of the Russian Federal Security Service, is covered in today’s TASS, stressing that every nation must develop its own climate change and energy plan, and further, he pointed out that so-called renewables are insufficient. He said, “Europe’s energy crisis has shown that the existing technologies don’t make it possible to meet economic demands only through renewable energy sources. Europe, an industrialized region, turned out to be unable to instantly replace coal, oil and gas with wind, solar and tidal power plants and geothermal facilities.”
